“There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.” – A mental health approach that works for everyone.
In 2014 Keira Shepperson moved to London to begin a new job at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
This exciting transition, however, left Keira feeling overwhelmed and she found herself experiencing panic attacks and feelings of depression.
After seeking help and exploring different treatment options, Keira is now passionate about supporting others to open up about their own mental health difficulties and reach out to those around them.
Shaped by her own lived experience, Keira has helped revolutionise the approach of the British Business Bank towards mental health.
In this honest and open conversation, Keira tells her story, confronts the existing stigma surrounding mental health and offers practical solutions to support the 1 in 6 employees who have to take time off from work as a result of poor mental health every year.
Covering everything from medication to mindfulness, counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy, Keira outlines the practical help available and why health will always be your most valuable asset.
