George leads Market Data Site Reliability Engineering, tasked with preventing and investigating incidents affecting real-time data distribution at Goldman Sachs. He joined the firm in 2017, after completing an MEng in Computer Science and Software Engineering at the University of Birmingham, and was promoted to Vice President in 2022.
George is passionate about mentoring and encouraging more people into technology, especially from underrepresented demographics. Besides his normal role, George is head of graduate recruitment from Birmingham universities within the Engineering division. He co-led Goldman’s inaugural 2021 Code First Girls Degree programme, and is a Lead Instructor for the Python and Web Development Kickstarter courses, teaching both in-person and online.
