As the head of Design Skills Capability at MBDA UK, Liz is the first female Engineer to reach an executive position within the Electronic Engineering Function at MBDA UK. Since Liz began her career in the late 1990s (after graduating from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne with a Masters Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering) she has gained significant experience in both technical and managerial domains, achieving her Chartered status in 2005. In 2008 she took a 5 year career break to be a full-time mum to her daughter, Daisy.
Today, Liz co-chairs MBDA’s Gender Equality Network, ‘GEN-EQ’, and manages a department of approximately 50 people; 2 of whom are female.
